We've grown... by 33!- Kerissa Taylor

On September 18th we received a delivery that we couldn't be more excited for. 33 additional Highland cattle! We found this herd for sale in May, knew they were ours and began the process of acquiring them. Our new friend, Audri Marrs, was so gracious to work with and choose us to be the buyers of this fantastic herd!

We visited in June, and gave her the first half of the payment and waited almost patiently for their delivery in September.

September came, and the weekend of delivery arrived. Then we ran into a little delay. 4 of the yearling heifers decided they didn't want to come, so they literally jumped the fences and took off! Poor Audri and a few of her cowboys searched and searched with no luck of finding them.  It was believed that none of the cows were pregnant, and then much to our surprise, 3 calves were born about a week before them coming to us, and we believe there will be more shortly! In light of our unexpected additions, and a bull named Shane being added to the offer, we decided to not pressure Audri for those heifers and they came to us Tuesday. Maybe those little heifers will show up in the next few weeks and we'll go pick them up!

Everyone was so thrilled to watch the semi pull up the road and watch the herd unload. Everything went so good, and we couldn't be more in love.We are ready to give this farm everything we've got, and to be successful in providing amazing food!

This is the stuff dreams are made of guys!
