In the Doghouse- by Ken Bailey

IN THE DOGHOUSE! I work in an office in a large factory complex. The hardy souls who worked the Rangely fields in the old days worked out of offices, too -- but the offices went along with them! This modern-looking portable shack, mounted on a trailed in 1950's Kansas, was the cat's pajamas of oil field hospitality in the old days, I am sure! Four walls, roof over your head in the rain and snow -- and, if you were very lucky perhaps a hot cup of oil field "joe" waiting inside?

Oil field work was not for the faint of heart. Oil field coffee, I am told, was only excelled by "railroad coffee" in the ability to eat through your stomach and put hair on your chest!
