There are a ton of events that will be going on as we head into summer throughout Northwest Colorado. Meeker has an especially fun filled weekend planned for the first weekend of June. We here at Home on the Rangely think it would be an amazing weekend to Participate in the Fishing Derby at Kenney Reservoir and also attend some of the awesome things over in Meeker, Colorado. You can't beat heading out west for this weekend. Check out some of the things Meeker's got planned below!

June 1 – Meeker 2017 Summer Rodeo Series on Thursday night!

Opening Day at Trapper’s Lake Lodge and Resort

June 2 – Historic Downtown to explore. Shops to visit. Best dining anywhere!
#1 tourist attraction museum to browse – The White River Museum open daily 9-5 and 12-5 on Sundays.

Meeker Cowboy Poet Gathering (doors open @ 5:30)

Downtown Expo in Hugus Building 2-6pm

June 3 – Meeker Farmers Market on Saturday morning, 8-12

Park to Art Race! Saturday morning 5K, 10K, and 1/2 Marathon for all ages! Races incorporate trail and road running with a finish at the popular Meekerpalooza Arts & Music Festival!  Starts at Paintbrush Park and incorporates the Phillip & Dorcas Jensen Memorial Park Trail System.

2nd Annual Metal Art Competition, by the Meeker Recreation District

Meekerpalooza, an annual Art and Music Festival, a big attraction to attend the next day, June 3rd, at Ute Park with its own set of headliners and fun family activities from 2-9. Some of the Youth Talent Show will be on stage there as well.

Old Timer Reunion at the Fairfield! If you are an “old timer” from Meeker, Saturday night isthe 105th reunion and a must to attend.

June 4 – Sunday morning brunch at Holliday’s Grill  or Meeker Cafe is a good way to get the day started right! Meeker also offers a beautiful river to sit by or put your pole in the water, trails to hike and on Sunday afternoon, make a short side trip upriver to the majestic views and Flattops experiences. Ripple Creek Lodge is 40 miles from Meeker at the peak of the mountain beauty and offers an evening dinner @ $18 per person, which includes appetizer, drink, dessert, entrée and an unforgettable experience! RSVP by May 25 to Ripple Creek Lodge.
