Western Rio Blanco Recreation Districts 4th of July events!

We wanted to make sure everyone had time to plan for this year's events so we are giving you a head's up today about what's going on!

First up on June 30th is A Dinner and A concert  

  • A marvelous dinner! Shrimp boil with corn and potatoes, BBQ Ribs and Crab too! $25 adults, and $5 for a kid's hot dog meal and be purchased at the Rec Center. Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for kids and you can pick them up at the Rec Center. Dinner begins at 6:30. Tickets must be purchased between 8am-4pm at by June 30th or until the tickets are sold out! Limited tickets so get it today!
  • The Concert features Bobby Cool and is Free to attend. The Concert Starts at 7:30. Who is he? Well his website describes him best as:

                      "Nashville-based singer-songwriter, Bobby Cool, blends the lyrical sensibilities of James Taylor with the current sounds of Zac Brown Band, Eric Church, and Garth Brooks. Cool is a three-time rising star award winner ongigmasters.com, has opened for Brantley Gilbert, Willie Robertson, and his debut album, Light In The Dark, was nominated for Independent Country Album of the Year. "

  • Both Events are held at the Cedar Ridges Golf Course, so be sure to mark your calendars. 

On July 1st The Rec Center will be offering A Day in the Park

  • Color Run 5k- Located at New Eden Pregnancy Center registration begins at 8am and is $20 per person, or $60 for immediate family, this includes a t-shirt. All proceeds benefit the New Eden Pregnancy Center and you will be doused with colored powder at various points during the course. 
  • Rib Cook Off Begins at 8am with Judging at 3pm at Elk's Park. If you want to participate contact Camilla, Bethany or Kirstin at 970-675-8211 for information. 
  • Pie Contest (juding at 3pm)- Bring your favorite homemade pie to be judged at 3pm, Located at Elk's Park. 
  • Inflatables will be at Elks Park from 10am-2pm so bring your kids out to play!

On July 3rd the Rec Center will be presenting our annual 4th of July Fireworks! This is an amazing show and the Rec District partners with our local volunteer firemen to give Rangely a one of a kind light show over Kenney Reservoir. It seems to get better every year!
